So, I left town for a few days, and came back to find that the beautiful amaryllis I posted on Dec. 20 had turned into an almost dead plant. What had been six gorgeous bright red blossoms were droopy, smelly blobs. So, here is what it looks like now, something out of a bad science fiction movie.
But now it is the first day of a new year, and I feel more hopeful than yesterday. 2018 is done and gone. May 2019 bring good things to all.
And may Denver and Colorado keep maturing and understanding what your residents need. After all, Denver, aren’t you like 160 years old?
Cut it back, it may bloom again
